The biggest thing in food automation since fire

Nyrvan comes from Nirvana, meaning enlightenment or freedom. We see a future in which advanced automation frees us from all the boring and repetitive tasks, allowing us to focus on more creative and engaging endeavours. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to such a post scarcity economy, and we are starting from food preparation. Our prehistoric ancestors spent up to 7 hours per day preparing and chewing food. The domestication of fire cut down this time dramatically, making it easier to chew and digest food and enabling our ancestors to spend more time in aerobic and intellectual activities, ultimately leading to the birth of the first civilizations. Today food preparation, especially for freshly made meals, remains a labour intensive process which is responsible for up to 80% of the cost of a typical lunch meal. We believe that artificial intelligence and robotics are the next big thing after fire, the largest and final improvement to food preparation, one day reducing to zero the non pleasurable time we spend in a kitchen, making human cooking an artistic or hobbyistic endeavour. As the cost of preparation drops, finally everyone will be able to afford healthy, fresh and nutritious meals everyday, planting the seeds for the first post scarcity civilization.
